Parents as Saints 2023

The first layer of this painting was created in 2015, titled 'iPad Parenting.' The subject showed a baby being cuddled and then a focused a view of the child and parents communicating via iPad. A process of closeness to separation in life. After years of technology relationships becoming the norm and more accepted -  I revisited this painting. The message I had was that of how difficult parenting is and how many of the sacrifices and challenges of endurance can only be described as that of the Saints.
